These old steps of Mar Mikael and Jeitawi have witnessed major changes in Lebanon’s history.

Once connecting the residential hills to the train stations below; they survived as so much of Beirut was destroyed during Lebanon’s civil war.

The Vendome Stairs, also know as Geara, are especially wide and full of life.
